Joy Thornburg is our 2009 Honey Festival Scholarship Pageant Winner! Joy will receive a full tuition one year scholarship to Lees College, Jackson, KY. She is currently a student at Hazard Community College and plans a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Joy will be introduced at the Halftime of the 2009 Honey Bowl when Breathitt High takes on rival Prestonsburg High School.
Be on the lookout for our beautiful Honey Queen as she fulfills her duties this weekend. You may catch a glance of her in the parade, in a classroom of students, munching on a famous corn dog from the 4-H food booth or at many of the festivals other activities.
